Highlight of this worship service was special time for thanksgiving and personal testimonies. During this time, Mrs Luciana Melo - wife of our beloved late Rev. Renato Melo (former Pastor of Alperton Baptist Church) came forward & shared her wonderful testimony. She emphasised the importance of personal relationship with God even at the time of crisis in life. She encouraged the congregation to work on mending broken relationships and nurturing the relationships we already have.
Pastor Immanuel brought a brief message about the dangers of ‘prosperity gospel’. He said the ‘true happiness’, can only come from Jesus’ as He is the source of all joy. Jesus is ‘the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.’(Hebrews 12:2).
Friends visiting Gujarati Christian Fellowship United Kingdom (GCFUK) were heartily welcomed. 3 Children artists, who performed during the GCFUK Cultural Event on 21 June, were felicitated and encouraged by special prises. Also, special prayers were offered for members who celebrated their birthdays and marriage anniversaries in July.
The meeting later ended with light refreshments giving time and opportunity for individuals and families to socialise and share about their lives with each other.
